Our Bacolod Lay-Over

Last Friday, we took the 4:55 a.m. flight to Bacolod en route to Dumaguete. We thought the trip was as easy as going to Bacolod City to board a 5-hour bus trip to Dumaguete. We also thought that the buses depart every hour. Well, HB and I thought wrong as we found ourselves in a 5 1/2-hour layover. But we were far from disheartened and maximized the time by hooking up with my brother-and-sister-in-law.

They took us to Bob's Diner for breakfast and ordered the following:

Pasta Valenciana

Chicken Adobo with Garlic Rice

Breakfast Trio (a sampler of beef tapa, pork tocino and chorizo

To kill more time, my 'in-laws' suggested this newly-opened 24-hour spa.

where HB and I had our nails done.

Mani & Pedi time ...
don't be fooled though, HB also had his toe nails done and slept soundly
(figuratively and literally)

We finished just in time to catch the 11:40 a.m. Ceres Bus for Dumaguete. Many thanks to Kuya Jules and Ate Tan for the breakfast and the quick stories. We hope to be back soon!
